Over the years, we have seen God use The Lord's Hands & Hearts Ministries for much more than reaching the homeless.  He has used our service to Him not only to reach those without homes, but He has touched the lives of many of the volunteers.  

We have seen many ministries birthed at Hands & Hearts as people have found, or stepped out in, their calling.  We have known for a long time that this is a mufti-faceted ministry.  Not only are we charged with setting the captives free from lifestyles of bondage and despair, but we are also to give opportunity for people to serve and find their place in the Kingdom.  It gives us great joy to watch people grow in the Lord, recognize their calling and walk in it.

Blanket packs will be assembled and distributed among the homeless sleeping on the streets and in shelters until spring returns.

Sidewalk Celebration has accomplished its mission in South Dallas and a new season is here!

As we prayed about the change we knew was ahead, the awareness of 15-50 homeless children sheltered at Dallas Life came. We met with leadership at Dallas Life to see it they had any interest in Sidewalk Celebration coming in to the children there. The door FLEW open for us to be “children’s church” to these homeless children, ranging in age from 2-18. No one focuses on the children in the shelter – services are geared to the adults and the children are just shuffled around. Such a need!

Charlie and Jennifer Kennedy are leading this outreach and are beginning with Sunday evening services from 5:30-7 on December 4. There is potential to also lead children’s church on Tuesday and Thursday evenings as well.

Lots of help is needed for the nursery, school age, and teens. These are not just kids, but homeless kids, right here in Dallas. Who's in?



Words cannot express the appreciation we have for those of you who poured into this year’s Thanksgiving Outreach. The Lord was definitely with us, giving us His sweet presence and the Spirit of joy and peace.

Our prayers were answered as the day flowed without incident, no confusion or stress. Attitudes were good, no one got restless waiting in the lines and that in itself is a miracle! We can pretty accurately say we served right around 400 meals. I thank the Lord for His direction and creative ideas in re-arranging the serving system to make the flow effortless. He always has the answers if we will only be still and listen.



The food was AWESOME! Every year in the past, there has been one “disaster dish”. This year, I know of NONE! The kitchen and serving areas were beautifully orchestrated by Terri, Rachel and Tracey and their teams. Kudos to you all!

A HUGE THANK YOU to all of our volunteer groups who worked so very hard and were very patient and understanding while waiting for the next duty. Your sweet smiles and conversations with our guests will not soon be forgotten by them. Every guests I spoke with was very thankful and appreciative for the blessing they received by your hands. To the youth group who sat around the table and listened to the testimony from the young homeless girl – if you have any video or can recap her story, please let me know. I got in on that too late to get it all and we would love to know her story and to be able to help her.

What struck me most about the day was the increased number of what looked like teenagers and the senior citizens. They are getting younger AND older AND growing in number. Sad, but such are the times we live in. It blessed my heart, though, when the praise band did the dance line and several of our guests danced and were joyful, laughing and feeling free. Beautiful! After the time of praise, the powerful message from Pastor G and Pastor John’s call for prayer, we saw many come forward for prayer. Many asking for deliverance, salvation, direction, provision, healing and strength. God hears them. Please continue to pray for them as they look to us as those who will stand with them before the throne of Grace.
